Job Description

Our client is an innovative & dynamic luxury retail brand, who have enjoyed phenomenal success over the past 10 years and are now looking to expand their operation further across the UK and abroad. They are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to support the Finance Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to accounts queries on the phone and through emails
  • Monitoring payments and approving sales orders
  • Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers across multiple currencies
  • Conducting bank reconciliations (multiple currencies)
  • Producing accurate and meaningful financial reports
  • Conducting VAT return preparation
  • Ensuring first checks on all invoices being entered onto the system
  • Account reconciliations
  • Updating the accounts system with invoices
  • Sales reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are recorded
  • Calculating and submitting journals, including inter-company adjustments
  • Identification of prepayments and capitalised assets and their treatments
  • Identification of any recharges across the group that are posted
  • Preparation of the regular supplier payment runs for sign off

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience of working in a Finance department
  • Able to manage your own time and prioritise
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to develop solutions and problem-solve
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisation skills and adaptability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually
  • Self-motivated with a positive and can-do attitude
  • Ability to use initiative to help drive team performance
  • Experience of working with NetSuite is preferable
  • AAT Part Qualified/Qualified is desirable
