Job Description

Our client is an extremely reputable and growing business based in Warwick that offers a diverse range of services to a dedicated customer base. The business specialises in delivering these goods and services through a global network, and in turn, gives back financially to the community through charities and schools. One of their key internal brands is an insurance brokerage who are experiencing rapid growth after a fantastic 2022 and as a result, is looking to expand its team with a Claims Handler. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the insurance industry and will possess excellent communication skills. Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all of the business’ clients have their claims dealt with effectively and to develop processes to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with claims for all types of insurance including commercial, fleet and personal lines.
  • Monitor the progress of a claim and identify the reasons why a full payment may not be made.
  • Ensure a fair settlement of a valid claim.
  • Effectively provide clients with advice on making a claim and the processes involved in this.
  • Expertly be able to guide policyholders on how to proceed with the claim and explain to policyholders if and when their claim is not covered.
  • Process new insurance claims notifications efficiently.
  • Analyse a claim made by a policymaker to establish whether it adheres to the policy wording.
  • Seek advice from external specialists on complex cases, such as loss adjusters and forensic accountants.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience within a similar position/ within the insurance industry.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • IT literate.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a tenacious work ethic.
