Job Description

Our client is a highly successful manufacturing and distribution business who specialise in household consumer goods. The company has grown significantly over the past 10 years, opening additional sites and increasing their staff headcount, as well as becoming a highly regarded employer of choice! The business is looking to recruit a Learning and Development Advisor, reporting into the Head of Learning and Development. The purpose of this role is to manage the design and delivery of training across all levels of the organisation and play a proactive role in new starter inductions. This is an excellent opportunity for a L&D Advisor or Business Partner looking for a new engaging challenge that will allow them autonomy within a varied role. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar FMCG organisation previously.

Please note: The business has two sites, so whilst the role will be based from their Banbury site, travel to their Redditch site will be required, and therefore the candidate will need to have a full driving license and their own car. The role is an on-site, office-based role and the working hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm OR 8am – 4pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand and analyse development needs.
  • Win the ‘buy-in’ of associated stakeholders and employees in relation to the credibility and importance of L&D within the organisation.
  • Ensure successful delivery of training and development solutions in alignment with wider business goals.
  • Identify and assess capability gaps and build effective L&D strategies to develop skills.
  • Design, develop and deliver learning solutions and assessments across different internal department from Warehouse Operations through to Sales and Senior Management.
  • Ensure all training delivery is in line with best practice, continuous improvement, compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to assessors, buddies, coaches and subject matter expert trainers.
  • Responsibility for compliance to audit requirements for L&D interventions.
  • Effective record keeping and administration of all training and L&D activity.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in an L&D Advisor or Business Partner role.
  • Experience gained within the FMCG industry (or similar).
  • Adept at using Learning Management Systems and have experience of online learning design and delivery.
  • Proven experience in process improvement and a keenness to actively seek to change processes to make them more efficient and/or cost effective.
  • Experience supporting a multi-site business with quality and compliance regulations is highly desirable.
