Job Description

Our client is a successful provider of services to the events industry. They are a well-established business with a wealth of experience in the event sector and due to their continued success and growth, they are looking to acquire the services of an Operations Controller to oversee the delivery of services to their portfolio of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a newly-created role within a successful, ‘family-feel’ business.

Please note this role would be part-time and the salary listed would be pro rata to reflect this.

The role would require some flexibility over Bank Holidays.

The shift pattern is Thurs-Sat 14:00pm-20:30pm.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage all operational incoming calls to the business with a professional manner.
  • Create schedules for Officers, including shift rotations and monitoring confirmation of duties.
  • Monitoring Lone Worker systems and welfare checks for Officers.
  • Keep accurate records of all communication and log accurately.
  • Accurately record any incidents involving staff and escalate these where necessary.
  • Effectively communicate sensitive and vital information with relevant colleagues.
  • Liaise with the stand-by team for any last minute shift deployments, welfare checks or emergencies that require attendance.
  • Maintain regular contact with operatives and provide any essential information when required.
  • Process cover for approved annual leave to ensure contracts are staffed in accordance with contracted requirements.
  • Monitor Vehicle Tracking systems.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in an administrative/office role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organisation skills with good attention to detail.
  • IT literate.
  • Previous experience in a planner role is desirable, however not essential.
  • Previous experience within the events or security industry is desirable, however not essential.
