Job Description

Our client is a highly successful, insights driven global sales business working with well recognised brand names across various industry sectors. Due to some internal moves within the HR Team, and the implementation of a new HRIS, the business is now looking to appoint a highly analytical and process driven Head of HR Data and Systems to drive the continued development of a customer-focused, data-led, streamlined approach to service delivery. In turn, you will be responsible for the effective and consistent coordination and implementation of HR business processes and procedures. Reporting into the People Director, the successful candidate will have strong previous experience from a HR Systems/Data standpoint, and be confident working in a fast paced, commercial business. Please note: This is a full time, permanent role and the working hours are 37.5 per week. The office location is Thame, Oxfordshire, and the business operates a hybrid working model (3 days office and 2 days homebased).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective relationships with all key stakeholders, working in close partnership with finance, operations and IT to embed best practice.
  • Create standard operating procedures and clear steps for each process, harmonising where possible, to create one set of consistent policies and processes.
  • Support the change management process by working with senior leaders to ensure smooth and timely roll outs.
  • Instrumental in ensuring the work of the people team has maximum impact – driving change, streamlining processes, and driving automation.

  • Lead a team of HR administrators, recruitment administrators and reward administrators.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience with HRIS systems and related HR analytics, with the confidence to make data-driven HR decisions.
  • Advanced MS Excel user with knowledge of Power BI.
  • Exposure working within a matrixed organisation within FMCG, Retail, Sales or Marketing led industries is highly desirable.
  • Demonstratable experience of implementing business change, system lead projects and successfully rolling out associated changes.
  • Proven project management skills coupled with analytical capabilities.
  • Proven People Management skills are essential – the ability to lead and manage a team and develop capability, in addition to ensuring the team meet SLA’s.
  • Ability to conduct detailed analysis of the accuracy and timeliness of HR Service delivery to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Good working knowledge of employment legislation, ideally Level 7 CIPD qualified (not essential).
  • Highly influential when partnering with a business, with the gravitas to work confidently at Senior Management level to inspire, coach and shape the future business positively.
  • Experience of working within an ‘outsourced’ business model or environment is highly advantageous, but not essential.
