Job Description

Our world-renowned client is a global leader in their field, providing advanced solutions to their customer base. They are also currently working to accelerate sustainable mobility innovations and solutions within their business. The organisation is now looking to recruit an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their team covering the Scotland area. Playing an integral role within the Sales team, the Area Sales Manager will lead the sales and new business development activities across their area, in addition to managing their existing Scottish based customer accounts to ensure superior service at optimal costs for customers and internal stakeholders. Please note: This is a field sales role, so the successful candidate will need to have a full driving license and be prepared to travel to customer sites based across Scotland for the majority of the role (70% of the time).

Main Responsibilities

  • Meet sales targets by managing all sales processes within your designated sales area; including tracking KPIs and providing the best after-sales care directly to the companies customers/partners.
  • Liaising with customers/partners to support and generate new business opportunities and manage existing key accounts.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vehicle dealerships within your assigned area to grow your portfolio of local and regional fleets.
  • Responsible for measuring risks and opportunities (Demand, Competitors, fleets etc…) in your area and proposing countermeasures when necessary to achieve targets.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of B2B Sales/Account Management experience.
  • Previous experience working within the automotive industry is essential.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and spoken.
  • A Sales, Marketing or Business-related degree desirable, but not essential.
  • Goal focussed and able to perform well under high pressure.
  • Able to travel across the region regularly.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Experience working across different functional teams and countries, ideally within bigger matrixed organisations.
