Job Description

Our client is a well-established, unique business based in Weston-on-the-Green. Due to expansion they are now looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant into the team to work within their busy, growing team. The successful candidate must be friendly and personable with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage their own workload effectively.

Accounts Assistant Main responsibilities:

Sales ledger:

  • Processing sales invoices
  • Assist with debt chasing
  • Prepare debtors reports when requested
  • Setting up new clients
  • Dealing with client and depot queries

Purchase ledger:

  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Preparing supplier payment runs
  • Reconciling supplier accounts
  • Reconciling invoices and purchase orders
  • Process Company credit card payments

Accounts:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Control account reconciliations
  • Maintain the Company’s fixed asset register
  • Process machine and Vehicle CAPEX forms, disposals and transfers
  • Provide cover for central purchasing
  • Preparation of ad-hoc finance reports
  • Journals processing

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Maths and English GSCE or equivalent
  • Specific proven ability against the identified set of responsibilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrate well-developed numerical ability.
  • Demonstrate well-developed IT skills including the use of word, excel, other appropriate databases.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work under pressure, notably meet deadlines set
  • Ability to develop good working relationships both internally and externally, notably team members and individuals at all levels, as required
  • Ability to be committed, tenacious and focused and to work in a structured and efficient manner
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously

Additional Information:

Working Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:30am-16:30pm
