Job Description

Our client is a market leading manufacturing and distribution business with family-owned roots, looking to continue their significant successes across a global customer base. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Credit Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a finance department, with an analytical mind and a high level of attention to detail.

Please note: The working hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.

Credit Controller Main responsibilities:

  • Monitoring debtors.
  • Keeping overdue balances to a minimum and assisting in the resolution of customer invoicing queries.
  • A key point of contact for the business on any debtor related queries or issues.
  • Developing, maintaining and improving relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maximising cash collections and maintaining minimal bad debt exposure.
  • Handling regular customer account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and swift identification & resolution of queries/ongoing issues.
  • Entering Invoices & Debit notes onto Sage.
  • Investigating discrepancies & raising debit notes when required.
  • Logging queries for distribution.
  • Processing daily payment runs.
  • Carrying out any other duties as requested by the Finance Manager including covering work as and when required.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working in Credit Control.
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in English & Maths as a minimum.
  • Knowledge of Sage, Excel, spreadsheets & databases (V-lookup, pivot tables).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills with a pro-active attitude.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • High level of numerical ability and accuracy.
  • Logical and methodical approach to tasks
  • Good time management
