Job Description

Our world-renowned client is a global leader in their field, providing advanced solutions to their customer base. This business is now looking for an experienced Commercial Supply Planning Lead, to join their team in Warwick. The purpose of this role is to develop short-term regional planning for the business, as well as create a balanced rolling forecast. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain and Customer services and will be supported by a direct report supply planning analyst. Regional Commercial Supply Planning Lead Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely and collaboratively with business units and demand planning teams to build and lead the coordination of an S&OP process and culture.
  • Prepare and facilitate regional S&OP process.
  • Work in close collaboration with central supply and demand planning teams in other regions globally.
  • Lead and develop the supply planning analyst into a high impact performer.
  • Ensure regular monitoring of replenishment of regional stocks.
  • Identify SKUs at risk of shortage and work to mitigate the risks of shortage.
  • Regularly identify dormant stocks and share with the sales team.
  • Communicate proactively on the status of stock at a product/location level of detail.
  • Implement and maintain tools/KPI’s to assess and monitor stock level.
  • Ensure that the KPI’s are achieved and guarantee a solid follow-up of supply chain procedures.
  • Inventory management and ensuring demand accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service Manager to support the team in exceeding customer expectations on service while focusing on cost optimisation.
  • Prepare and present performance trends for customers.

Key Skills/Experience

  • A relevant Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Industrial Engineering.
  • Previous work experience in a sales and operations planning (S&OP) role within an industrial business environment (automotive preferred).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Inventory Management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to take a holistic, bigger picture viewpoint.
  • Ability to summarise, present and communicate complex data in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Well-structured and organised.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
