Job Description

Our client is a leading supplier within the automotive sector whose brand is internationally recognisable. Due to continued growth, the business is now looking for an Area Sales Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. The region you will be responsible for is Northern England & Scotland. You will be reporting directly to the Key Account Manager and be responsible for B2B sales and promoting products. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-respected brand with the opportunity to positively develop your sales career. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven, experienced B2B salesperson and have an interest in Engineering, Agriculture and the Automotive industry.

Area Sales Manager Main Responsibilities:

  • Sell products effectively and profitably to achieve targets.
  • Plan and execute personal goals and development plans.
  • Visit direct and indirect accounts to increase sales through dealers or end-users.
  • Support Key Account Managers with audits.
  • Carry out audits for key customers and maintain inspection data using an internal record system.
  • Keep all customer records/visit details up to date using our in-house CRM system.
  • Attend training sessions as required for personal development.
  • Prepare for regular feedback meetings with the Key Account Manager to promote continuous improvement.
  • Attend Team meetings as required.

  • Previous experience in B2B Sales.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-centric mentality.
  • Results driven, Self motivated and Enthusiastic.
  • Happy to work out doors.
  • Great organisational skills.
  • Confident negotiator & influencer.

Additional information:

  • Working Hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday (37.5 hours) a week.
  • Field-based sales role, Outdoor working.
  • Travelling and overnight stays are required to cover sales territory efficiently.
  • Company car provided or Car allowance.
