Job Description

Our client are global market leaders in delivering Events and Conferences to the Life Sciences industry. Due to continued success and investment, they are growing their team with the addition of a Business Development Coordinator to sit within their thriving Sales team. The main purpose of this role is to research targeted companies, source leads and make initial introductions to key decision makers before passing them onto the Business Development Executive to close. Business Development Coordinator key responsibilities

  • Understand clients’ needs and educate potential partners on how services can support them.
  • Research targeted companies using HubSpot, LinkedIn and Google Apps.
  • Profile strategic target accounts identifying key individuals and obtaining business requirements.
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new sales outlets.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach.
  • Perform lead qualification at the initial stages in the sales funnel.
  • Diligently update CRM and build effective sales development campaigns.
  • Set up meetings or calls between people of interest and the business development manager.
  • Report to the business development manager on KPIs, key accounts and activities on a weekly basis.

Key skills & experience

  • Prior experience in inside sales or related sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A creative approach to problem solving.
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to deal with objections.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.

Additional information

  • Hybrid working offered, with the expectation is to attend the office twice per week.
