Job Description

Our client is a successful and well-respected legal firm who have provided a multitude of legal services for an impressive number of years. They are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to their Court of Protection team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-standing and reputable firm.

Legal Assistant main responsibilities:

  • Assisting with preparation of urgent court documents & bundles.
  • Liaise with clients via phone and in-person confidently and with a professional manner.
  • Arrange mail by post, email or Document Exchange.
  • Preparation of documents and other correspondence through word processing and/or audio typing.
  • Maintain diaries and making appointments as and when required.
  • Ensuring confidentiality regarding all client/company documentation.
  • Daily filing including retrieval of client files.
  • Ensuring file management is in accordance with the Quality Procedures Manual.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with a confident, polite telephone manner.
  • Word processing and audio typing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work as part of a team but also individually.
  • Excellent knowledge of confidentiality requirements.
