Job Description

Our client is a pioneering and globally recognised automotive technology and aftermarket business based in Warwick. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced EMEA Continuous Improvement Manager reporting directly to the Global & Regional QLMS Lead. The purpose of this role is to implement and manage activities for the Lean Management System (LMS) across the assigned region. This is a pivotal role within the team, which will support and enable continuous improvement of all relevant business, production and supplier processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise key issues to enable rapid problem-solving analysis.
  • Implement permanent corrective action leveraging the suite of Lean and Six Sigma sciences.
  • Align with stakeholders across all regions to develop Standard Work (StdW) in approach of the overall Quality and Lean Management System.
  • Effectively partner with functional team members such as Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, Finance etc.
  • Act as Team Leader/Manager of direct personnel to ensure internal QLMS skillset development and effective succession planning. This includes designing and develop goals, objectives, and performance plans to evaluate accordingly.
  • Manage compliance to Internal Control requirements and Accounting/Financial legal requirements.
  • Perform internal and external audits.
  • Lead on the systematic control and continued improvement of various KPI’s to ensure the effectiveness of results.

These KPI’s include:

PPM Defects (internal, external and supplier)
Supplier Performance Ratings (Scorecards, PPAP, PRR, etc)
Customer Complaints (Quantity, Repeats, and Time to Close)
Compliance with customer required quality management systems such as IATF, ISO, VDA, etc.
Successful New to Range (NTR) launches and/or product/process changes
Reduction of Arrears (On-Time Delivery)
Achieving targeted value-added savings through focused process/product improvements
Days On-hand Inventory
Lead Time by product family

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Certified in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt level preferred or relevant Green Belt with Continuous Improvement experience).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in the industry.
  • Robust leadership skills are essential – including the management of people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • ISO9001 or relevant auditing experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the QLMS sciences would be an advantage.
  • Ability to train others (including peers, customers and suppliers) in the various QLMS skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, flexible and well organised, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritise workload.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time permanent role with core working hours between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, with hybrid working available (3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home).
  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • 8% Bonus
  • Some travel to European countries may be required from time to time.
