Job Description

Our client is a unique and empowering organisation based in Leamington Spa that work to provide the best career platform for young people within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths sectors. Due to continued success, they are now seeking a Sales & Events Coordinator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for engaging with schools to generate event day bookings, and then supporting with the coordination of these events. The ideal candidate will have some prior sales, customer service or events experience, coupled with a keen desire to better the lives of young people while working in a rewarding role. Main Responsibilities:

  • Contact schools as directed, to book free of charge event days and all associated resources.
  • Follow up on orders for the paid event days/packs and arrange for invoicing to be processed and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the CRM database to keep a record of calls made/emails sent and update details of confirmed bookings and orders, while adhering to all GDPR regulations.
  • Use Outlook calendars to determine available dates for delivery of event days.
  • Liaise with external suppliers to ensure effective delivery of resources and to ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Process feedback from events in a timely manner.
  • Develop a good knowledge of the department’s activities to deal competently with enquiries.
  • Complete purchase orders, invoices, mailshots, etc, as required and directed.
  • Support with any other administration duties as required by the Education Team.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Experience of working in a Sales, Customer Service or Events role is essential.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships over the phone.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge, especially in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • GCSE grade C or above (4+) in English and Maths.
  • Experience of databases, preferably a CRM system.
  • Good command of English language – written and spoken.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
