Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable)

Job Description

Our client are a long-standing, highly innovative manufacturer of home furnishing products. They have experienced a significant increase in demand since the beginning of 2020, really bucking the trend against the backdrop of the pandemic. Due to the rapid growth in company turnover, they are now looking to expand their finance team in Leamington Spa and are therefore looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger).

The key requirement here is to assist the company Accountant with financial management through the accurate management of the purchase ledger. This is a full time, office based position.

Key responsibilities:

• Processing of purchase invoices
• Reconciling supplier invoices and dealing with supplier queries
• Dealing with queries relating to invoice payments
• Supplier data cleansing
• Sales ledger maintenance
• Bank reconciliations
• Posting journal entries
• Document printing, filing and general administration

Skills & experience required:

• Previous purchase ledger experience is required, ideally at least 18 months to two years in current/previous role.
• Careful and accurate with processing and posting of entries.
• Good IT skills, in particular MS Office and use of accounting software.
• Confident, communicative and able to work in a small team of accounting professionals.
