Job Description

Our client is a well-established and reputable company based in Oxford. They work with organisations to help improve teamwork, collaboration, develop inspirational leaders and solve complex people challenges. Following an internal restructure and an exciting period of growth, they have created a brand new and exciting role. They are now looking for a motivated and proactive Business Development Executive to join their close knit, friendly team. The main purpose of this role is to re-engage with the company’s lapsed client base and to also support in the creation of new business opportunities by effectively communicating with clients. This role would suit a naturally inquisitive individual who is motivated by building relationships and demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills. Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve activity targets, compromising of generating appointments and outbound phone calls to lapsed and potential new clients.
  • To learn and implement questioning strategies which will result in opportunity development.
  • Proactively call and engage with your target client base.
  • Ensure the company database is up to date and relevant information is maintained.
  • Outbound follow up on relevant marketing activity where appropriate.
  • Create and manage pipeline of leads/quotes/prospects by monitoring & recording client activity
  • Ensure that appropriate information is passed to each member of the sales team as part of sales handover process.
  • Carry out other such duties as may reasonably be required, commensurate with the grade of this post.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience working within a Sales function is essential (ideally B2B).
  • Understanding of sales processes, including lead generation and achieving sales targets.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to positively influence and build effective relationships.
  • Proficient with computer systems and MS packages, such as Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Experience using CRM databases.
  • Interest in psychology, human behaviour, personality profiling etc.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full time, permanent role (37.5 per week) however for the right candidate, flexible working requests may be considered.
  • This role offers the flexibility to work from home for part of the week.
