Job Description

My client is a very well thought of Accountancy practice with number of offices based in the local area. They have built an excellent reputation over a number of years and they are now looking for an Outsourcing Services Manager to join their proactive and high achieving corporate team.

The main purpose of the role is to contribute to the efficient outsourced management of client portfolios whilst managing a small team of Bookkeepers.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain excellent communications with clients to garner important information for preparation of records.
  • Prepare and deliver faultless management accounts and other financial reports.
  • Formulate and deliver year end accounts and statutory accounts
  • Respond to client and third-party queries in a timely manner (e.g. HMRC)
  • Maintain slick technical operations utilising Xero and other related software, computerised book-keeping, ledger maintenance, and supplier maintenance.
  • Ensure VAT compliance
  • Submit Information to HMRC in accordance with regulations and deadlines.
  • Assist with bookkeeping enquiries where possible
  • Set targets and appraise junior staff members whilst offering coaching and encouragement
  • Record chargeable time of team and manage workflow to ensure optimal results.
  • Take charge of ad-hoc projects on behalf of the business.
  • Communicate team targets and expectations on a regular basis.
  • Consistently identify streamlining opportunities and implement new procedures.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified with Minimum two years PQE
  • Excellent accounting and computer skills including Sage, Xero, Quickbooks and Key Accounts
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current tax legislation
  • Experience in Audit in a corporate environment
  • Good networking skills
  • Legislative compliance – ability to interpret relevant legislation to clients
  • Previous experience of managing client relationships in a busy accountancy practice
