Job Description

Our client is a reputable, high-end automotive company based in Banbury. Due to a team expansion, they are now looking to acquire the services of a motivated Management Accountant to work within the Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity, which would suit a seasoned and personable individual who is hard-working, reliable, diligent, and looking to work in a unique environment, offering significant future possibilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of day-to-day management accounting activities, whilst partnering with the wider business.
  • Management of company bank accounts and credit cards, including monthly reconciliations.
  • Production of monthly management accounts to trial balance within agreed timeframes.
  • Managing accruals and repayments, ensuring that postings are accurate.
  • Closing of completed job cards and release of associated deposits.
  • Completion of company VAT/Intrastat returns for submission to HMRC.
  • Assist the payroll process by checking that all information prepared by third parties is accurate and posted.
  • Completion of weekly and monthly payments to suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Preparation of weekly cashflow forecasts.
  • Maintenance of Holding company (minimal transactions).
  • Ad-hoc analysis as required.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Good Excel skills (vlookups, sumifs etc.).
  • Capability to build and maintain excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
  • A strong team-worker who is self-motivated, uses their own initiative and has a positive and proactive approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise individual workload and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly literate and numerate.
  • Studying towards a recognised qualification (ACCA/CIMA) desired.
  • Experience of Sage 200 desirable.

Additional Information:

  • Working hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with a 45-minute lunch break (41.25 hours).
