Job Description

Our client is a cutting-edge, global leader in their field that has been established for more than 20 years and is now looking to acquire the services of a knowledgeable and experienced Business Development Executive. This is a critical role within the operation, reporting directly to the Senior Commercial Manager. The successful candidate’s main tasks will include sourcing new customers and developing new business opportunities with target organisations in desired sectors. The Incumbent will manage new customers, grow and upsell and renew through calibrations, product upgrades, end of life and scrappage schemes. Liaising with other departments to ensure the timely despatch of customer orders, and preparation and submission of all compliance returns. Main responsibilities:

  • Follow up on sales leads from marketing campaigns, including webinars, to arrange qualification calls with Product Engineers.
  • Liaise with the Export and Service and Repair teams to update channel partners on progress with hardware, calibrations, repairs, and returns.
  • Build a strong, in-depth product knowledge, working proactively with product engineers to educate clients to understand the features and benefits of our products and services.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries as required.
  • Assist with order processing and data input to internal systems.
  • Contact prospective customers to arrange qualification calls with Product Engineers.
  • Managing new customers, to grow, upsell and renew through calibrations, and product upgrades.
  • Create detailed and accurate quotations for customers and channel partners based on requirements.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in a B2B sales environment.
  • Proven experience in technical sales.
  • Self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail.
  • Build good working relationships with other parties both internal and external.
  • Positive and goal-orientated attitude.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Thursday 8 am – 4.15 pm and Friday 8 am – 3 pm with hybrid working available.
