Credit Controller

Job Description

Our client is a well-established and successful supplier of locally sourced fresh produce who work closely with their network to supply a varied customer base. The business pride themselves on delivering a first-class and great value service. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a sales ledger/credit control environment, and prior experience with Microsoft Excel. This role would best suit someone who is self-motivated, highly organised and with high level of attention to detail. In return, you will work with a friendly, small, close-knit team and would be rewarded with a 10% annual bonus based on company performance.

Please note: This is an office-based role and there is free parking on site. The working hours are 8.30am – 5pm Monday – Friday.

Credit Controller key responsibilities:

• Resolve queries holding up payment of older debt.
• Liaise with customers to clear outstanding issues.
• Assist the other Credit Controller in the team to chase outstanding debt.
• Send copy remittances, statements and invoices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years previous experience in a Sales Ledger/Credit Control role.
• Confident using systems; particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
• A keen problem solver with a desire to ‘make things right’.
• Intermediate level Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work to monthly deadlines.
