Our client, a pharmaceutical company, who as a result of business growth are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant/Senior Accounts Assistant on a permanent part-time basis reporting to the Financial Controller. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in working within an accounts team and prior exposure to payroll. In return for your expertise, you will be rewarded with an excellent salary package. The office is based in Banbury, however the successful candidate will be working from home.
Please note: although this role is remote, the client has requested that the candidate is local to the main office.
Key Responsibilities:
- General bookkeeping
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns
- Preparation of monthly management accounts to trial balance
- Assist the Accounts Assistant with sales ledger, reconciliation and credit control
- Recharges of expenses
- Processing monthly payrolls, including pension scheme administration
- General HR admin when required
Skills and Experience:
- AAT qualified – Level 3 or 4
- Confident in Sage 50 Accounts & Sage 50 Payroll (or similar packages)
- Good understanding of accounts to trial balance, fixed assets, prepayments and accruals
- Payroll experience
- Confident with MS (Excel and Word)
- Great attention to detail
