Our client is an innovative manufacturer, who are experiencing a growth in trading and therefore looking to expand their accounts department. We are therefore looking to assist them in recruiting an Accounts Assistant/Trainee Accountant into their busy team.
This is a varied role, where you will be supporting the existing staff with all of the day to day running of the department. You will be responsible for processing various sales and purchase ledger invoices on a daily basis, reconciling (bank) account information and reporting where necessary in line with the company’s accounting rules and regulations.
Key responsibilities;
- Analysis and posting of all credit card transactions, ensuring fully reconciled at month end
- Bank reconciliation
- Support project and management reporting
- Enable to close AR, AP and GL at month end by WD2
- Ensure any queries are followed up to a speedy resolution
- Prepare weekly payment runs
- Processing all invoices in a timely and accurate basis
Key skills & experience required;
- AAT Qualification or currently working towards this
- Previous experience of working in a finance/accounting department
- Good general level of IT skills – MS Office and accounting software
- Ability to understand and meet targets set
- Excellent command of written and oral English
- Flexible, highly motivated team player
- Positive outlook, with ability to embrace change
