Due to continued growth they are now looking to appoint an Senior Accounts Assistant to work within their busy, growing team. The successful candidate must be friendly and personable with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage their own workload effectively and support the Company Accountant where necessary.

Main responsibilities:

Sales and Purchase Ledger

  • Maintaining and overseeing the Sales Ledger
  • Producing sales invoices for Advisors, Groups and Clients
  • Processing incoming payments BACS, Cheques, Credit/Debit Cards, entering financial information into appropriate software programs and SAGE
  • Allocating payments against orders and invoices
  • Maintaining and overseeing the Purchase Ledgers
  • Reconciling Supplier Account Statements and query handling
  • Assisting with weekly payment run
  • Electronic filing of invoices

Banking and Direct Debits

  • Assisting with Bank Reconciliations
  • Preparing bank payments
  • Monitoring and reconciling accounts
  • Record and reconcile company credit card statements
  • Maintain credit card signing in/out book
  • To assist with setting up/processing Direct Debits
  • Allocating Direct Debit receipts
  • Updating changes to Advisor Direct Debit amounts

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Must be a competent SAGE user.
  • Excellent excel skills.
  • Must have 2+ years’ experience working within an accounts department.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate effectively

in a clear and professional manner at all levels.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage others’ workloads.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to solve problems, make reasoned judgements and take decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Reliability, integrity, and discretion.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9-5
