Job Description

Our client are a dynamic provider of unique B2B events, designed to support c-suite management personnel within global, blue-chip organisations. Overseeing a small team of Events Coordinators, the Event Manager is responsible for the creation and management of an annual calendar of B2B events, hosted across the world, in most major international destinations.

We are therefore looking to recruit an experienced Events Manager, (who enjoys overseas travel!) to oversee a small team and ensure the smooth running of all events on behalf of the company. This role will require the individual to be highly organised, with excellent administrative skills and able to manage and support the events team. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract, to cover a period of maternity leave, and will commence from end November/early December. 

Key duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Events Team
  • Authorising Holidays/ Event Cover if there is an absence
  • Undertake regular team meetings
  • Overseeing organisation, administration, management, and team members for all events
  • Main point of contact for CEO with events team
  • Managing Team Admin including the shared email inbox, email signatures, and data resources
  • Taking on design projects where and when required
  • Managing the Event Schedules and future event plans
  • Providing a point of contact for event sponsors and other third parties including delegates and venues
  • Oversee the process of identifying and booking event venues
  • Budgeting and payment plans for events
  • Managing travel for events

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous/current experience in an Events Management role (ideally B2B, but would consider B2C).
  • Attention to detail
  • Outstanding customer service delivery
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • To actively approach all aspects of work in a positive, productive, and professional manner
  • Being able to work well under pressure
  • A high standard of PC skills
  • Outstanding communication skills both oral and written
  • Confident on the phone
  • Flexible hours required whilst onsite and must have a valid passport for travelling to global destinations for events.
