We are often asked by jobseekers about whether there is anything else that they can do to make their CV’s more attractive, or to try to ensure that their application gets the right amount of attention from a potential employer?
One thing that we always tell people is to make sure that their CV and employment history on Linkedin match. It’s so often overlooked by jobseekers and yet recruiters and employers will often cross-check an applicants’ CV against what they have written on their Linkedin profile.
If your dates don’t match up, or you’ve forgotten to add or remove a job from either your CV or your online profile then the viewer may doubt the integrity of your application and you may be discounted very early in the process!
If you’re reasonably new to the job market, or it’s been a few years since you last checked your CV against your Linkedin profile, then this is a relatively quick job that could pay dividends.
