Job Description

Our client has been growing for over 50 years in the building equipment component industry and is now looking to hire a Stores Manager on a temporary ongoing basis for their busy site in Buckingham. The Stores Manager will be required to check all incoming goods against delivery notes as well as ensuring adequate levels of stock and spare parts at all times. This is a varied role and a great opportunity to join an established and growing company within their field.

Stores Manager Main Responsibilities

Put stock away in the correct location in stores
Stocktaking
Ensure stores are kept neat, tidy and organised
Packing consignments ready for dispatch
Keep an accurate record of any spare parts leaving the site
Dealing with warranty claims (customer & supplier)
Assist with loading and unloading of equipment
Liaising with the Spare Parts Department and Engineers to provide excellent customer service with regards to any customer queries
Serving customers promptly and efficiently
Keep spare parts manuals and operator manuals neat and tidy
Operating forklift

Key Skills/Experience

Must have experience of working in a similar role in a related industry; construction equipment, trucks, cars, heavy plant, agricultural equipment
Excellent communication skills
Be able to work as part of a team
Forklift/crane license desirable but not essential
Have sufficient strength and agility to perform lifting and manual handling
Computer literacy in Microsoft office packages: Outlook, Word etc
Experience with Sage 50 is desirable but not essential
Be organised and able to use your own initiative

Additional Information

This is a full-time temporary role with the potential to go permanent, based on-site Monday to Friday 8 am – 4.30 pm.
