Our client is a globally recognised logistics company who provide advanced and high-end logistics services to their clients all across the world specialising in various sectors. Due to stable growth they are now looking to acquire the services of a Logistics Coordinator to join their Planning and Monitoring Team. This is a great opportunity for an individual with the right mindset to develop knowledge of the Logistics industry, with scope for genuine career advancement.

Please note: The working hours for this role are Monday – Friday, on a 9 hour rotating shift basis between 07:00 – 19:00 and the role is office based from Coventry.

Logistics Coordinator Main Responsibilities:

• Sourcing various transport and negotiating rates for international shipping in a timely manner.
• Adhering to schedules and managing workload to reach customer deadlines to make sure all shipments flow smoothly.
• Manage customers shipments through the internal database and providing updates accordingly.
• Build and develop both new and existing customer relationships.
• Ensuring all communications with customers are provided in an excellent manner as per the company procedures.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience within a Logistics/Freight based role is desirable but not essential for an individual with the right mindset.
• Ability to have a systematic approach to high work volumes when necessary and prioritise workload appropriately.
• Basic knowledge of using Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Excellent telephone manner.
